AVENEU is a neighborhood grocery store and community space working to expand access to fresh, healthy food in Columbus’ King-Lincoln/Bronzeville community.
We believe every neighborhood deserves a place where families can walk in and find quality groceries, fresh produce, everyday essentials, and a business built with their community in mind.
AVENEU was created to help make that possible.
More Than a Grocery Store
Our work sits at the intersection of food access, neighborhood investment, health, art, and entrepreneurship.
Through AVENEU, we are building a model for what neighborhood grocery access can look like: locally rooted, culturally connected, financially sustainable, and responsive to the people who live nearby.
Our goal is not simply to sell groceries.
Our goal is to build infrastructure that helps a neighborhood thrive.

Major philanthropic support allows AVENEU to make investments that would be difficult to accomplish through grocery sales alone.

- Expand access to fresh fruits, vegetables, and healthy groceries
- Purchase equipment that allows us to prepare, cut, package, and offer more fresh foods
